1. Editorial Policy
Who we are
physiotherapistindia.com is the professional and academic platform of Dr. Dharam Pandey. It publishes evidence-based resources in physiotherapy and rehabilitation for three audiences: practising physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals, physiotherapy students and faculty, and patients, families and caregivers.
This website is not a directory or register of physiotherapists in India, and it does not provide clinical services. It is an educational resource.
Our editorial standards
All clinical content published here is developed against recognised international standards:

How content is produced
- Commissioning. Topics are selected on clinical relevance, evidence availability and audience need — not on search volume or commercial value.
- Authorship. Every clinical page carries a named author with stated qualifications. We do not publish anonymous clinical content.
- Review. Every clinical page is reviewed before publication by a named clinician who is not the author. Reviewers are senior clinicians of APARC Health & Motion — see Who reviews our content below, including what that relationship does and does not mean.
- Citation. Clinical claims are referenced to primary literature, with working DOI or PubMed links.
- Dating. Every clinical page shows the date it was last reviewed and the date its next review is due.
- Revision. Clinical content is reviewed at least every 24 months, or sooner if the evidence changes. Content past its review date is flagged as such.
Use of artificial intelligence
AI tools may be used to assist with drafting, structuring, editing and literature searching.
AI is never the final clinical authority. Every clinical statement, recommendation and citation published on this site is verified against primary sources by a named human clinician before publication. No page is published on the basis of AI-generated content alone.
What we do not do
- We do not accept paid placements, sponsored posts or paid links in clinical content.
- We do not publish content written by commercial third parties under a clinician’s name.
- We do not make treatment claims that the cited evidence does not support.
- We do not provide individual clinical advice through this website.

2. Medical Review Policy
Why we review
Rehabilitation content that is inaccurate, out of date, or overstated can cause harm — by delaying appropriate care, by encouraging unsafe self-management, or by creating unrealistic expectations of recovery. Clinical review by a second qualified clinician is how we guard against that.
What gets reviewed
All content describing:
- clinical conditions, their presentation or prognosis
- assessment methods, tests or outcome measures
- treatment techniques, protocols or interventions
- exercise prescription of any kind
- rehabilitation technology and its clinical application
- when to seek urgent or emergency care
Non-clinical content — biography, research listings, media coverage, speaking engagements — is fact-checked but not clinically reviewed.
Who reviews
Reviewers are qualified physiotherapists or medical practitioners with demonstrable expertise in the relevant area. A reviewer must not be the author of the page they review.

Dr Dharam Pandey is the author of most clinical content on this site and does not review his own work.
What this review is, and what it is not
It is in-house clinical review. Our reviewers are practising senior clinicians with relevant postgraduate qualifications, and they work within APARC Health & Motion, the clinical network associated with this site. Review is a second qualified clinician checking a colleague’s work before publication.
It is not independent third-party review. Our reviewers are not external to the organisation, and they are not free of the conflict of interest described in our Conflict of Interest Disclosure. We state this plainly rather than describe our process as something it is not.
Where a page carries a “Reviewed by” line, that named clinician has read the page and checked it against the criteria below. Pages that have not been reviewed carry no review line — an absent byline means review is outstanding, not that it was skipped silently.
What review covers
- Accuracy — is every clinical statement correct and supported by the cited evidence?
- Currency — does it reflect the current evidence base?
- Completeness — are material contraindications, precautions and red flags stated?
- Safety — could a reader come to harm by acting on this page?
- Clarity — is it comprehensible to the audience it addresses?
- Scope — does it stay within what a website can responsibly offer, and direct readers to clinical assessment where needed?

3. Corrections Policy
Our commitment
We will get things wrong. When we do, we will correct them openly rather than quietly.
How to report an error
Report factual, clinical or citation errors to info@physiotherapistindia.com. Please include the page URL, the specific statement at issue, and — where possible — a supporting reference.
We aim to acknowledge every report within 5 working days.
How we handle corrections

A correction notice states what was incorrect, what it now says, and the date of correction. We do not delete a corrected page and republish it silently.
Retraction
Where content is found to be fundamentally unsound and cannot be corrected, it will be retracted. The URL will carry a retraction notice explaining why, rather than returning an error — so anyone who cited it can see what happened.
4. Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Statement
Dr. Dharam Pandey is the founder and Chairman & Managing Director of APARC Health & Motion (APARC Healthcare Private Limited), a rehabilitation network providing physiotherapy and neurorehabilitation services.
This website refers readers who are seeking clinical care to APARC. That constitutes a direct commercial interest, and we disclose it on every page that makes such a referral.
Dr. Pandey also holds a clinical and academic appointment as Director and Head of Department, Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences, at Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka, New Delhi. This website is a personal professional platform. It is not published by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Manipal Hospitals, and nothing here should be read as representing that institution.
How we manage this conflict
- Clinical content is reviewed by a second qualified clinician who is not its author. Our reviewers are clinicians of APARC Health & Motion and are therefore not independent of the referral relationship — this is a real limitation of our process and we state it rather than obscure it. We are working toward review by clinicians outside the organisation for our highest-risk clinical content.
- Clinical recommendations are made on the evidence, not on what services APARC offers.
- Referral blocks are visually distinct from editorial content and clearly labelled.
- We do not publish patient testimonials, star ratings or promotional claims for APARC on this website.
- We do not make superlative claims (“best”, “leading”, “number one”) about any provider, including APARC.
Other interests to declare
- F-MATS framework — an original clinical framework developed by Dr. Dharam Pandey. Where it is discussed on this site, that authorship is stated. No licensing arrangement or commercial interest exists in it.
- Research funding — none.
- Equipment and technology manufacturers — none. We have no financial or commercial relationship with any manufacturer whose technology is discussed on this site.
- Paid speaking and advisory roles — none that could reasonably be seen to influence the content published here.
