Who writes and who reviews

Dr Dharam Pandey and the clinical team

The clinicians of the Physiotherapist India Team, who write and review everything published here. Each guide is authored by a named clinician and reviewed before publication by a second, and Dr Dharam Pandey is Chief Editor. Where he is the author, the review is carried out by an independent external peer reviewer. No one reviews their own work.

“The best rehabilitation does not stop at restoring function. It restores a person's belief that life can still be full — and then proves it.”

Who writes and who reviews

Contributors

Authors and reviewers are drawn from the clinicians below, assigned by specialty and seniority. Their hospital or department is named because it is theirs, not the site's: the team spans APARC, HCMCT Manipal, Manipal Hospitals, ShardaCare Healthcity and Shanti Mukand Hospital. The same clinicians contribute as authors on some pages and as reviewers on others, never both on the same page. Dr Dharam Pandey reviews as Chief Editor; where he is the author, one of these contributors reviews his work instead.

What this review is: in-house clinical review. Contributors are practising senior clinicians with relevant postgraduate qualifications. Review is a second qualified clinician checking a colleague's work before publication, and the pairing is recorded on the page itself.

What it is not: the formal external peer review a journal runs. The exception is content authored by Dr Dharam Pandey, which is read by an independent external reviewer, because he is Chief Editor and cannot review himself. Twenty-six of the thirty clinicians here practise outside APARC Health and Motion, so most of what is published is reviewed by someone with no connection to Dr Pandey's clinical establishment — but the Physiotherapist India Team states the limits of its own process rather than describing it as something it is not.
